Each plate is designed specifically for use in your 1 hp food processor and made of stainless steel. The 5/64" slicing plate can be used to slice a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, like tomatoes, bananas, or carrots without mashing or bruising. For finer cuts, the 1/32" slicing plate offers the same style of cut but in a much slimmer 1/32" profile that's great for making very thin, garnish-style cuts to accent entrees or dress up your plates.
This kit also contains 2 julienne plates to make longer "stick" style cuts. The 5/32" julienne plate is great for thicker items like hash browns and bell peppers, while the 5/64" julienne plate can handle finer cuts like cabbage for coleslaw, or carrots to top off a salad. The sharp blades provides consistent sizes for a professional appearance. Finally, a 1/8" grating plate is provided and can be used with a wide variety of hard cheeses, vegetables such as carrots and potatoes, or as a zester for lemons and limes.
